1988 Media Guide: Ohio State’s most versatile back … slashing runner with 4.4 speed and excellent hands … moves back to tailback (at his request) this year after spending the final six games of the 1987 season at flanker … led OSU in rushing last year with 470 yards on 118 carries and was second in receiving with 26 catches for 354 yards … also topped OSU in kick returns with an average of 21.4 yards per return … came out of spring practice with a slight edge over sophomore Carlos Snow … top rushing game last year was 163 yards against Oregon … his first game  at flanker was at Purdue, where his first catch resulted in a 36-yard touchdown … he also completed a 25-yard pass at LSU … rushed for 1,030 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore, including a career-high 172 yards at Wisconsin … has six 100-yard games in his career … his 56-yard run against Oregon last year is his longest at Ohio State … currently ranks 14th on the all-time OSU career rushing list with 1,821 yards and 15th in receiving with 53 catches.
