High School: Tyler Gerald played football (and basketball) for Sciotoville East, a Division VII school near Portsmouth and coached by Todd Gilliland, through his junior season and then transferred to IMG Academy to play football against a Florida-elite level of competition as a senior … his IMG team went 9-0 under coach Kevin Wright, although an injury limited Gerald to six games … he was a consensus 4-star prospect (Rivals, 247Sports, Scout and ESPN) and was rated among the Top 10 offensive guard prospects in the nation by ESPN (No. 6), 247Sports (No. 8) and Scout (No. 9) … listed as the top guard prospect out of Florida by Scout … also ranked among the Top 25 prospects out of Florida by 247Sports (No. 25) … a member of the ESPN 300 (No. 116) … was invited to the Under Armour All-American game … earned all-district honors while playing for East.
