Post-OSU Update: Trevon Grimes left Ohio State four games into his true freshman season (2017) after an practice field altercation with wide receivers coach Zach Smith. Grimes believes Smith cursed at him using the n-word, while other accounts cannot verify this. Nevertheless, Grimes left the team mid-season and transferred to Florida, where he was able to play the following year without redshirting. He caught 97 passes for 1400+ yards and 14 touchdowns in three seasons with the Gators. He did not play in the NFL. (updated: Jan. 2024)
