1990 Media Guide: Moves to offense this year after playing the defensive line the past three seasons … expected to provide depth at the strong tackle spot and could contend for a back-up slot once he acquires experience … very strong player with good, quick feet … has picked up run blocking quickly, but still needs work on his pass protection.

1989: Was a backup defensive tackle and middle guard, but did not see any game action.

1989 Media Guide: One of the Buckeyes’ most physical defensive lineman … has lost 10 pounds from last year and has increased his quickness … will contend for a backup spot behind Pat Thomas, but is a versatile player who could help at any of the down positions … very good at the point of attack and difficult to get off his feet.

1988 Media Guide: Will back up Mike Showalter … strong and difficult to get off his feet … will have the opportunity to see his most playing time this year.

1988-87: Appeared in a total of four games, two each year, as a reserve defensive tackle.

1987 Media Guide: Enjoyed an excellent spring practice in 1987 … has good quickness and is strong physically … difficult to get off his feet.

1986: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Won a total of nine letters, three each in football, wrestling and track … first-team all-Ohio as a senior … also played fullback as a senior (gained 501 yards on 119 attempts) and was a perfect seven-of-seven in fourth down conversion attempts … in an overtime win over Oberlin, he carried the ball five straight times for the tying TD, and then also powered over for the winning PAT … chosen Lorain County “Lineman of the Year” in 1985.

PERSONAL: Hobbies are hunting, fishing and trapping … enjoys going to movies, especially those that star Clint Eastwood … favorite foods are steak and chicken.
