1980 Media Guide: Will likely start at left tackle this year … worked hard to get his weight down to  play linebacker but now must add weight to play tackle … strong, aggressive, determined, he will make a fine tackle … active and hard to block … has won three varsity letters at Ohio State.

1979: Played a total of 97.5 minutes … was used as a linebacker until the Illinois game when he was moved to tackle … played 23.5 minutes at tackle in three games.

High School: Was an all-Illinois linebacker at Mt. Carmel High … captain of his high school team as a senior.
