2023 Media Guide: Steele is a three-year Varsity O letterwinner … he graduated in the spring of 2023 with his degree in finance and is one of six current Buckeyes who have graduated … has two seasons of eligibility remaining if he so chooses, including a COVID-19 2020 additional year … has played in 37 games: four and seven games at running back in 2019 and 2020, respectively; and 26 at linebacker the past two seasons.

2022: 2022 season stats included 6.5 TFLs and a third career interception (vs. Rutgers after recording interceptions vs. Nebraska and Purdue in 2021) … Recovered a fumble and scored from the 1 to clinch the 43-30 win over Maryland … Established a career-high with 11 tackles (and eight solo stops) vs. Rutgers and also had 10 vs. Indiana, nine vs. Penn State, and eight vs. both Northwestern and vs. Georgia in the CFP semifinals at the Peach Bowl.

2019: Played in four games as a true freshman before redshirting … carried a career-high nine times for 56 yards vs. Rutgers … had a career-high 63 yards and a touchdown on eight carries vs. Miami (Ohio).

High School: Steele Chambers was rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports and among the top 20 athletes nationwide … a three-year starter for head coach Tim McFarlin … ran for 244 yards and three TDs while also throwing a touchdown pass to help Blessed Trinity Catholic advance to the Georgia 4A state title game … in the title game, ran for 98 yards and added five tackles on defense as Blessed Trinity won its second straight championship … over 1,500 yards and 25 touchdowns as a senior … Georgia’s Region 7AAAA Player of the Year in 2017 for the state champion Titans … exceptional athlete who stood out as both a linebacker and running back … All-Georgia honoree as an athlete from the Atlanta Journal Constitution … Georgia Athletic Coaches Association all-state selection as a linebacker … rushed for 1,486 yards (6.9 yards per carry) as a sophomore and 1,301 as a junior … scored the go-ahead touchdown in the 2017 state title game … on defense, totaled 70 tackles (37 solo), six tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
