Post-OSU Update: Shaun Gayle was selected in the tenth round (271st overall pick) of the 1984 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. Despite his modest draft selection, Gayle enjoyed a 12-year NFL career, 11 with the Bears. He made the Pro Bowl in 1991 and had four seasons with 100+ tackles.
