Post-OSU Update: Sevyn Banks transferred to LSU in the Spring of 2022, after two and a half months in the transfer portal. Banks played only two games for the Tigers, receiving a scary injury to his spinal cord (determined to be a bruise) that forced him to be carted off the field. He declared for the 2023 NFL Draft, but was not selected. (updated: Feb. 2025)

2021 Media Guide: Will be one of the top cornerbacks in the nation in 2021 as he has picked up third-team preseason All-America honors and is on the Thorpe Award and Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch lists … he has played in 28 games over the past three seasons and has started nine times at cornerback … has 35 career tackles and 13 passes defensed, including two interceptions.

2020: Led the Buckeyes with seven pass break-ups and eight total passes defensed in 2020 … capped the CFP semifinal win over Clemson at the Sugar Bowl with an interception on Clemson’s final drive.

2019: Saw action in all 14 games for the Big Ten champions, totaling 11 tackles (10 solo) … made his first career interception in a 52-3 win at Northwestern … was credited with pass breakups vs. Maryland, Rutgers (first career start) and Michigan.
