Post-OSU Update: Sam Wiglusz transferred to Ohio soon after Ohio State’s Spring Game in 2022. Wiglusz flourished with the Bobcats – in his two seasons, he was awarded first-team All-Mac honors both years. He combined for 129 receptions, 1,537 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns in ’22 and ’23. He spent some time on the practice squad of the Los Angeles Rams during the 2024 season. After the year, he signed with St. Louis in the United Football League. (updated: Feb. 2025)

High School: Team captain and second team All-Ohio as a senior at Brecksville-Broadview Heights in 2017 … a three-year starter, caught 182 passes for 3,129 yards and 37 TDs for head coach Jason Simonetti … has his best statistical year as a senior, totaling 80 catches for 1,432 yards and 13 TDs … also intercepted four passes … caught 19 TDs as a junior … had 49 tackles as a junior, including 27 solo … a two-time Cleveland.com All-Star … first team all-district and All-Suburban League … team captain and all-conference selection in both baseball and basketball.

Personal: Is the son of Tony and Kate Wiglusz … Tony played baseball and Akron and Kate was a softball player at Florida Southern.
