1982: Became a starter the fourth game of the year in 1982 against Florida State … made 76 tackles and had 10 lost yardage stops … intercepted three passes and broke up four playing an outside linebacker position.

1982 Media Guide: Moved to outside linebacker in spring practice and made a quick adjustment to the new position … has good physical strength and lateral movement.

1981: Was used as a reserve at the rover position and as a member of the specialty teams … played 65 minutes … made 17 tackles and caused one fumble.

High School: Played fullback and quarterback on offense and linebacker on defense in high school … ran for over 600 yards as a senior … threw for 10 touchdown passes as a sophomore when his team went undefeated … won high school letters in football, baseball and track … his top football thrill was when he had a 98-yard interception return in high school.

Personal: Hobbies are drawing and dancing … from a family of six, including five boys.
