1994 Media Guide: Moves from tackle to nose guard this year … will contend with incumbent starter Luke Fickell for playing time … has been a solid reserve throughout his career, seeing action at tackle, nose guard and end and appearing in 26 games … saw limited playing time last season as a backup for All-America Dan Wilkinson at tackle, but is a good, very competitive athlete.
1993: Appeared in seven games for a total of 47 minutes … five tackles, including a tackle for loss against Northwestern … two tackles at Pittsburgh was his top game.
1993 Media Guide: Solid reserve, who is coming off a good spring … will back up Dan Wilkinson … played in 11 games last year (DNP vs. Minnesota) and started against Louisville in the season opener … moved to nose guard after the Louisville game and backed up Greg Smith the rest of the season .. had four tackles in 1992, including a ten-yard loss against Louisville … moved back to DT in the spring to add depth to the position … great practice player who works hard to get better … intense competitor.
1992 Media Guide: Played a total of 31 minutes in eight games last year as a reserve defensive end … moved to tackle in the spring and apparently locked up the No. 2 spot behind Dan Wilkinson with a strong showing … lone tackle last year came against Northwestern … improved dramatically between the beginning and end of spring ball … heady player, who is very intense … just needs experience.
1991 Media Guide: Moved from tackle to end in the spring … beings the fall at the No. 3 spot on the depth chart, behind Alonzo Spellman and Derrick Foster … highly thought of young player who just needs seasoning … redshirted last year, but was a solid performer on the scout team … coming off a good spring.
1990: Redshirted at defensive tackle … moved to end in the spring.
1989: High School: Consensus all-state selection last year … three-year starter and team captain as a senior … played defensive tackle as a sophomore and junior, but played defensive end as a senior … also played offense, seeing action at both tackle and guard … West Geauga was 8-2 his junior year … also lettered twice in basketball and was a starter on the team that advanced to the state championships in St. John Arena in 1989 … wants to major in economics and go into financial planning after graduation … hobbies are reading and going to the movies.
