1997 Media Guide: Reserve wide receiver who can help either at flanker or split end … made the team as a freshman walk-on and worked his way into the rotation at split end last fall … has excellent hands and runs precise routes … particularly effective on sideline patterns … broke the fifth metatarsal in his right foot last spring and missed the last half of spring ball.

1996: Played a total of 20 minutes in nine games, almost all of that coming with the special teams … no catches in 1996.

1996 Media Guide: Made the team as a freshman walk-on last fall and has now worked his way into the three-man rotation at split end … glue-fingered receiver, who has a knack for getting to the open spot in the defense … particularly effective on sideline routes … benefited from working at both split end and flanker during bowl practice and then had a very good spring … should see some playing time this fall if he continues to improve.

1995: Walked on and did not see any playing time.

High School: First-team all-state as a senior, when he caught 33 passes for 636 yards and 12 touchdowns … earned three letters in football and basketball and four in baseball.

Other: His older brother, Matt. was an outfielder on the Ohio State baseball team, playing the past four years … hobbies are woodworking and playing golf … has always wanted to play for Ohio State and turned down scholarship offers from smaller schools to play at OSU.
