1993 Media Guide: Has been a starter or key reserve throughout his career … tough, physical player … starts on the outside … started all 12 games there last year and had a career-high 66 tackles, fifth best on the team … tied for the team lead in fumbles caused with three … latter came in OSU’s win at Syracuse … lone fumble recovery of the year was against Bowling Green … recorded a career-best 12 tackles, including a tackle for loss, in the Illinois game … tackle total last year was 15 more than his first two years combined … coming off his best year and had a good spring … Solid, dependable player.

1992 Media Guide: Will become the full-time starter this year at Buck (the drop side position) after dividing time with Andy Gurd last year … played in 11 of 12 games in 1991, starting the first five and seven of the first nine … missed the Northwestern game because of a pulled muscle … finished the year with 27 total tackles, including 18 solos … also had four tackles for loss, two sacks and two fumble recoveries … five tackles against both Washington State and Illinois were his top individual games … had a 30-yard interception return against Indiana to set up an OSU score in a thrilling 20-16 Buckeye victory … good, experienced athlete who should have his best year.

1991 Media Guide: Was the Buckeyes’ No. 3 outside linebacker last year, playing behind Jason Simmons and Jay Koch, and appears to be the heir apparent to Koch’s drop-side spot this year … played a total of 108 minutes in 11 games and finished the year with 24 total tackles … top effort was five tackles against Air Force … missed the Illinois game with a sprained knee … good athlete who will continue to improve with experience.

1990 Media Guide: Redshirted last year … an extremely talented young player with great athletic ability … will vie with Jay Koch for a starting spot on the drop side and will be a valuable addition to the OSU defense … mobile, agile player with outstanding quickness … very adept at pass coverage considering his lack of experience … has the potential to be a very physical player … hard worker with a great future.

HIGH SCHOOL: First team all-Maryland … Washington Pigskin Club’s Defensive Player of the Year … twice an all-conference selection … had 230 tackles in his final two seasons … totaled 13 sacks, five blocked passes and seven fumble recoveries as a senior … also played tight end … captained the football and track teams and lettered in basketball.
