Post-OSU Update: Kyle Trout transferred to Cincinnati after the 2016 season. Since Trout graduated from Ohio State in the Spring of 2017, he was eligible to play for the Bearcats immediately. High School: Lined up at guard in the Golden Gales’ wing-T offense … a two-time Associated Press all-state performer, with first-team Division I honors in 2013 and special mention accolades in 2012 … all-Ohio Capital Conference … coached by Rob Carpenter … played three seasons of basketball and also competed in track and field in high school … seventh in the shot and eighth in the discus at 2013 Ohio state outdoor track and field championships … comes from same town and school as former Buckeyes Jim Cordle, currently a center with the New York Giants, and Bobby Carpenter, who spent nearly six years in the league after being a first-round draft pick in 2006 of the Dallas Cowboys.
