Post-OSU Update: Kyle McCord entered the transfer portal nine days after the regular season-ending loss to Michigan in 2023. It is believed the intense scrutiny he received in 2023, particularly for his play against Michigan, contributed to his desire to transfer. McCord left for Syracuse and played well there – recording 4,779 yards passing and 34 TDs through the air (12 interceptions) while completing 66.0% of his passes. He finished tenth in the Heisman voting. (updated: Apr. 2025)
