2004 Media Guide: Give the Buckeyes talented depth at the wide receiver position … veteran player who reads coverages well and can play either split end or flanker … solid special teams contributor … had a fantastic 2004 spring season and continues to get better … scored his first collegiate touchdown off a blocked punt against Kansas State in the 2004 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

2003 Media Guide: John Hollins is a veteran player who can play either split end or flanker … missed the 2001 season with a knee injury, but was healthy last season and saw limited action in five games … coming off a good spring and hopes to work his way into the receiving corps in the fall … has good hands and speed, but is at a position where the Buckeyes have an abundance of talented football players … could carve a niche for himself with the special teams … a high school teammate of current Buckeye safety Will Allen.
2002 Season: Made his collegiate debut in the season opener against Texas Tech and went on to play in five games for a combined total of five minutes … hauled in a 14-yard pass against San Jose State for his first collegiate reception, his lone catch of the year.
2002 Media Guide: John Hollins is another member of the Buckeyes’ talented receiving corps … still waiting for his first taste of game action after redshirting as a true freshman and then not seeing any playing time last year because of a nagging knee (patella) injury …had surgery late in the season and was full-go in the spring … heads into the fall as a backup split end … has played well each of the past two springs … anxious to show what he can do, but plays at a deep position.
2001 Season: One of the top receivers heading into fall camp, but did not play because of a knee injury.
2001 Media Guide: John Hollins is a redshirt freshman who hopes to get his first taste of playing time this year … currently third on the depth chart at split end, but capable of moving up if he continues to improve … played his best football in the two spring scrimmages and has caught the eye of the coaches because of his ability to make plays at crunch time … coaches will be looking for more consistency in the fall.
