1983 Media Guide: Improved agility and quickness have been major reasons for his increased playing time … figures to be a standout tackle this year.

1982: Started the last seven games of the season after being a reserve in 1980 and 1981.

1982 Media Guide: One of the  most improved tackles on the squad .. will challenge Joe Smith for a starting spot … started in spring drills while Smith sat out with a knee injury … a special weight training program has improved his leg strength … considerably more agile than when he first enrolled at Ohio State … can play either right or left tackle if needed … tackle coach Bill Myles is pleased with Carson’s progress.

1981: Played briefly in eight games.

1980: Played in two games and did not letter.

High School: Won all-Ohio honors as a highly successful program, St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High.

Personal: Admires John Kolb and Doug Dieken … hobbies are sports and fishing.
