2013 Media Guide: Ivon Blackman is a pleasant and personable young man … he is also a versatile player who has played mostly along the offensive line for the Buckeyes, but he did cross over to the defensive line for a spell during 2013 spring drills … he is expected to move back to the offense and will compete for time as a guard in 2013.

2012 Media Guide: Ivon is in his third year with the program, having initially joined the team in the fall of 2010.

2011: Earned his first varsity letter in 2011 after seeing playing time in four games.

2011 Media Guide: Joined the team in the fall of 2010 … transferred to Ohio State from Robert Morris
… played one year at Robert Morris.

2010: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

High School: Lettered at St. Joseph’s High as a sophomore before moving on to Bedford where he
played two seasons under coach John Gibbons … all-conference (Lake Erie League) and all district as
a junior and senior … competed in and lettered in track three years, throwing the shot put.

Personal: son of Ivory and Jacob Kangah, and Edgar “Buddy” Kettles … speaks French as Jacob
Kangah was born on the Ivory Coast and spoke the language in the Kangah household … younger brother, Frank Kangah, is also a member of the football team at Ohio State.
