High School: He was an all-state kicker for Bloom-Carroll High School as a senior and helped lead the school, coached by Phil Mauro, to back-to-back state playoff trips in 2012 and 2013 … he holds school single season (63) and career (127) kick scoring marks … also named all-Central District as a senior … the recipient of an Ernie Godrey Scholar-Athlete Award and an Academic All-Ohio selection … was his class Valedictorian and carried a 4.0 grade point average … also played baseball.

Personal: Parents are Lori and Joe Garris … has two older brothers – Jon and Tony – and a younger sister, Erin.
