1982 Media Guide: Has found a home at center … was the first team center when spring practice opened and finished on top … must overcome a stiff challenge from Dooley and Hocevar for the starting position … has added 20 pounds since entering Ohio State and has greatly improved his upper body strength … was tried at linebacker earlier in his career at Ohio State but is much more comfortable at center.

1981 Media Guide: Played his best football since coming to Ohio State in spring practice … advanced to a backup role behind Jim DeLeone at the center position … has bounced around between linebacker on defense and guard and center on offense.

1980: Played in seven games with the specialty teams.

High School: Played linebacker and tight end in high school … caught 26 passes for 387 yards his senior year … his Orrville team has a 25-game winning streak during the three years he played … won 11 high school letters.

Personal: Admires Archie Griffin and John Havlicek … hobby is riding horses and fishing.
