2016 Media Guide: Craig Fada’s excellent work on the practice and playing fields coupled with his dependable and responsible actions off earned him a scholarship for the 2016 summer term … Fada is one of those guys coaches like having on the team, and he and Joe Burger are on the cusp of achieving the unimaginable: earning a fourth Varsity O letter in football after initially walking on to the team, something that certainly hasn’t been done at Ohio State in football very often, if at all … a fifth-year senior, Fada is in his fifth season with the football program after initially being invited to the team as a walk-on during the summer of 2012 … a special teams standout, he has played in 38 games the past three seasons and he is a three-time Varsity O letterwinner.

2015: Fada played in 12 of 13 games and averaged an impressive 15 special teams plays per game … was averaging over 18 special team’s plays per game before a mid-season injury kept him out of one game and limited his play in two others … Fada recorded five special team’s tackles for the second consecutive year … had a season-high 24 plays in the win at Indiana.

2014: Fada played in all 15 games for the College Football Playoff national champions and earned his
second Varsity O letter … played a career-best 26 plays in the Big Ten championship game vs. Wisconsin, including 10 plays on defense … was in for 17 and 16 plays, respectively, in the Sugar
Bowl win over Alabama and the national championship game win over Oregon … made five tackles on the season, including two vs. Wisconsin.

2014 Media Guide: Craig Fada is a true junior who is in his third season with the football program … he was an invited walk-on to the team during the summer of 2012 … he has consistently drawn praise from Ohio State coaches for his work ethic and his efforts … Fada saw action in 11 games during the 2013 season on special teams with a high of 14 plays vs. Florida A&M and 13 vs. Illinois in Big Ten action.

2013 Media Guide: Craig was an invited walk-on to the football team during the summer of 2012 … he did not see any game action in 2012 for the undefeated Buckeyes, but he picked continued his dedicated work ethic once again this spring during the spring drills.

2012 Media Guide: Craig walked-on to the football team this summer … he joined the team with the rest of the freshman class in June 2012 … he is planning on a major in the biological sciences.

High School: Craig played both linebacker and tight end for coach Dan Bjelac’s Bishop Watterson Eagles team, finishing with 45 tackles, four sacks and an interception as a senior and being named
Central District defensive player of the year … also earned all-Ohio and all-Ohio Capital Conference honors … he also scored two touchdowns among his seven catches for 143 yards … in 2010 Bishop Watterson won the Division III Ohio state championship.

Personal: Craig’s father, Rob, blocked for Dan Marino at Pitt and later went on to have three-year NFL career, spending two years with Chicago and one with Kansas City.
