Major: Sports and Leisure Studies (1992-94), Undecided (1991)

Jersey #: 17 (1991-94), 6 (1990)

Weight: 175 (1992-94), 165 (1991)

1994 Media Guide: The incumbent at flanker who is a two-year starter … combines outstanding leaping ability with great speed … will have to ward off challenges from several players because of OSU’s outstanding corps of receivers, but appears primed for a fine senior season .

1993: Played in all 12 games with 10 starts… had 14 receptions for 227 yards (16.2 average) and is still looking for his first OSU touchdown … longest reception was a 38-yarder against Wisconsin, where he had a career high four receptions for 62 vards … also ran the reverse three times for 28 yards and had a pair of kickoff returns for 26 yards.

1993 Media Guide: Outstanding athlete who may be ready to come into his own this season … made his debut last year and showed a lot of promise … a raw talent who is still learning the game, but has the athletic ability to be a key offensive weapon … combines outstanding leaping ability with great speed … has improved his blocking skills and appears more confident … also a track standout, but concentrated heavily on football in the spring … was being groomed to back up Joey Galloway last season, but moved into a starting role in the third game of the year when Galloway was lost with torn knee ligaments … started six of the final 10 games, missing starting nods at Michigan State and Iowa when he was slowed by a shoulder bruise, and did not start against Michigan, when OSU opened in a two tight end set, or Georgia … ranked third on the team with 22 receptions and is still looking for his first TD … had the team’s two longest receptions, making a 54-yard grab at Indiana and a spectacular 48-yard diving reception vs. Minnesota … was second among the wideouts in minutes played with 209.

1992 Media Guide: Sanders hopes to make his presence felt this year … highly regarded athlete who was ineligible as a freshman and hurt last year as a sophomore … divided his time between track and football in the spring, so he is still somewhat of an unknown … the Buckeyes’ fastest receiver and a quick and elusive runner once he catches the ball … did some things very well in the spring and the OSU coaches are anxious to get a longer look at him in the fall and see what he can do under fire … good blocker, who won’t hesitate to take on a much bigger defender.

1991 Media Guide: Ineligible last year … talented athlete who was very highly regarded coming out of high school, both as a receiver and as a defensive back … has not been able to practice, so he is still an unknown quantity who will have to prove himself in the fall … thought to be a Bobby Olive-type of receiver who is very quick and elusive and able to make defenders miss him.

1990: Did not play – ineligible

1990 Media Guide: One of the first players in this year’s class to commit to Ohio State, announcing in early January … standout receiver and defensive back in high school, but is expected to concentrate on the former with the Buckeyes … helped lead Montbello to back-to-back runner-up finishes in the state playoffs his junior and senior years … first team all-state as a senior, when he caught 30 passes for 650 yards and 11 touchdowns … also had nine interceptions as a senior … a standout performer in track, winning two state titles last season.

High School: First team all-state as a senior, catching 30 passes for 750 yards and 11 touchdowns … also had 11 interceptions as a senior … helped lead his high school to consecutive runner-up finishes in the state playoffs … won state track crowns in the 100, 200, and long jump as a senior.

Personal: Hobbies include reading and fishing.
