1998 Media Guide: Reserve fullback who has played in seven games his first two seasons … a strong, punishing runner, who bounces off would-be tacklers and runs low to the ground … came to Ohio State as a tailback and took awhile to settle in at his current position … running backs coach Tim Spencer says Charlie “is a power guy … he is kind of caught in between the fullback and tailback positions, but he is a power-tvpe of runner.”
1997: Saw brief action in two games and had 15 yards on two carries … had an 11-yard run against Northwestern.

Personal: The son of Charlie Sanders, Sr. who played collegiately at Minnesota, was an All-Pro tight end with Detroit and is currently an assistant coach with the Lions … also picked up some weight lifting tips from the Lions’ Barry Sanders … enjoys swimming, reading and listening to music … ran track in high school … fitness fanatic who may pursue a career in exercise physiology.
