2003 Media Guide: Bobby Britton is a veteran defensive back and special teams standout with 27 games under his belt, including a start at UCLA in 2001 … was in the running for a starting cornerback spot last year before pulling a hamstring in fall camp … wound up playing 11 games and recording seven tackles in 2002 … has good quickness and the ability to play cover corner … considered very sound from a technique standpoint … is a playmaker on special teams … has 21 career tackles … three-year letterman.

2002 Season: Missed the opener against Texas Tech while recovering from his hamstring injury … played a season-high nine minutes the following week in the win over Kent State … three tackles at Cincinnati was his top effort … also credited with two passes broken up on the year.

2002 Media Guide: Bobby Britton is a reserve cornerback and standout special teams player … started at UCLA last year and played in the first six games before being sidelined with a groin pull that forced him to miss the final six dates of the regular season … was able to appear, albeit briefly, against South Carolina in the Outback Bowl … finished the year with 10 tackles … was in the running for a starting spot and was playing significant minutes before being injured … has good quickness and coverage skills and is sound from a technique standpoint … was fully recovered from his injury in the spring … his return gives the defense some much-needed depth in a key area.

2001 Season: Had three stops against both Indiana and Wisconsin … 16 minutes against the Badgers was his longest stint … suffered a pulled groin the following week against San Diego State and did not play again until the bowl game.

2001 Media Guide: Bobby Britton appears to be a leading candidate to fill one of the two all-important cornerback positions vacated by the early departure of Nate Clements and the graduation of David Mitchell … excellent athlete with fine speed and quickness … demonstrated good coverage skills and a nose for the ball in the spring … solid tackler and fierce hitter … this will be a learning year for him, but he is a talented player with a bright future.

2000 Season: Lettered as a true freshman … played in 11 games (did not play against South Carolina) and totaled 27 minutes, most of that time coming with various units of the special teams … wound up the year with four tackles and two blocked kicks.

High School: Rated the No. 14 cornerback prospect in the country by Rivals100.com … considered as one of the top corners in the nation … rated the No. 6 athlete in the Florida Super 75 by the Jacksonville Times Union … excellent speed … played primarily at receiver as a senior … caught 47 passes and eight touchdowns … three interceptions and over 40 tackles as a junior.

Personal: Is the son of Valerie Britton … Sept. 25, 1981.
