1991: Media Guide: Will take over at flanker this year for three-year starter Jeff Graham … talented receiver who has paid his dues and is ready to assume a starter’s role … a top reserve each of the past two years … played in all 12 games last year and had 12 receptions, third best on the team … averaged 14.9 yards per catch … caught passes in six games, with highs of three against Minnesota and Northwestern … has worked hard to improve his game, especially his blocking … worked as an intern in a law office this past summer.

1990: Media Guide: Will battle Bobby Olive for playing time behind Jeff Graham at flanker … had a good spring and showed improvement as a blocker, a deficiency that cost him playing time last year … has played in 19 games the past two years … a good athlete … pleased the coaches with his aggressiveness in the spring … only one year of experience as a receiver prior to coming to Ohio State.

1989: Played a total of 75 minutes in eight games … had 10 receptions for 130 yards, nine of those catches coming the first five games … lone touchdown came against Oklahoma State … top game was four catches against Boston College.

1989 Media Guide: Expected to alternate with Bobby Olive as the starter … had a good freshman year and took up in the spring where he left off in the fall … improving all the time, especially as a blocker … good target and has a 30-inch vertical leap that allows him to go over smaller defenders … good athlete who came to Ohio State with only one year of experience as a receiver, but has caught on quickly … very knowledgeable player.

1988: Played in all 11 games and started against LSU … caught 11 passes for 170 yards and had receptions in eight games … best day was two catches for 35 yards at Indiana … lone TD was a 14 yarder at Michigan State.

1988 Media Guide: Will battle Bobby Olive for the starting spot … played well throughout the spring, but did not catch a pass in the spring game … did complete two passes in the spring game … an excellent athlete with good speed and hands … has a 30-inch vertical leap and with his size is able to out-jump most would-be defenders … his key is to develop consistency.

1987: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played quarterback as a sophomore and senior and wide receiver as a junior … passed for 949 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior and was a second-team all-Florida selection … caught 43 passes for 554 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior … caught 82 passes for 1,149 yards and 13 touchdowns for  his career … also a second-team all-Florida pick in basketball … scored career high 42 points as a senior.

PERSONAL: Calls signing with Ohio State his greatest thrill … wears the same number as former Ohio State All-American Cris Carter, whom Edwards lists as his favorite receiver … favorite foods are shrimp and pizza.
