2001 Media Guide: Andrew Schabo is the backup punter and tight end … walked on in the fall of 1998 as a punter, but did not see any game action in either of his first two years … hard work and perseverance paid off last year when he did appear in three games at tight end … enrolled at Ohio State because of its welding engineering program.

2000 Season: Earned his first letter.

1999 Media Guide: Andrew Schabo walked-on to the football team last fall and has steadily worked and improved his punting skills. He redshirted the 1998 season as a true freshman and then helped out this spring by throwing passes during some receiving drills.

High School: All-conference quarterback who also punted at Thomas Worthington H.S.

Personal: Chose Ohio State because of its welding engineering program. Away from football is an “all-star bowler, terrible golfer and decent billiards player.” The son of Kathy and Pete Schabo. Born March 24, 1980.
