Post-OSU Update: In the Spring of 2022, Andre Turrentine transferred to Tennessee after his true freshman season with the Buckeyes, despite an outstanding Spring Game where he made nine tackles and led all Buckeyes in snaps played. Turrentine has become a key piece of the Vols’ secondary, playing 37 games over three seasons (66 tackles and 2 interceptions). He made some headlines before the 2024 CFP game between Tennessee and Ohio State when he stated that Ohio Stadium “isn’t as loud as the SEC”. (updated: Jan. 2025)

2021 Media Guide: Was a member of the 2021 signing class … enrolled in classes in June of 2021 … the No. 6-rated player in the state of Tennessee … consensus four-star prospect … is versatile enough to play anywhere in the secondary: cornerback, nickel back or safety.

High School: Had 73 total tackles in 2019 as a junior while leading Ensworth to the Division II-AAA state semifinals for head coach Roc Batten … a two-way player, he added 248 receiving yards and two touchdowns, averaging nearly 25 yards per catch.
