1991 Media Guide: Will be in his third year as a starter, but just his second at his current position … moved from outside linebacker to a down position last year and finished with 52 tackles in 10 games (missed the Wisconsin and Air Force games) … loads of potential and should be in the running for postseason honors in 1991 now that he has had a year of experience as an end … one of the Buckeyes’ strongest players, but still needs to refine his technique … a real diamond in the rough … if he reaches his potential this year, he could be a legitimate candidate for both the Outland Trophy and the Lombardi Award.

1990 Media Guide: Started 10 games at outside linebacker last fall, but was moved to defensive end in the spring and will start there this season … won honorable mention all-Big Ten honors last year, but the OSU coaching staff believes he will be even better as a down lineman … strong, aggressive and very demonstrative player … one of college football’s up-and-coming young stars … already named to several preseason All-American teams … a unique personality … will be a big plus for the OSU pass rush … wears a size 18 shoe.

1989: Started 10 of the 12 games and finished the season with 49 tackles, including 10 tackles for losses to tie for the team lead in that department … also had four sacks … top game was 10 tackles against Indiana … second-team All-Big Ten choice by the coaches.

HIGH SCHOOL: Rated by some scouting services as one of the nation’s top 50 players … New Jersey player of the year as a senior … also named to the USA Today All-USA team … received the Sam B. Nicola Award from the Columbus Touchdown Club, designating him as the nation’s top high school football player in 1988 … had 104 tackles and 14 sacks as a senior, 95 stops and eight sacks as a junior … led his team to the 1987 Group 3 championship … attended the same high school that produced Franco Harris … also played basketball, averaging 17 points and 22 rebounds a game as a junior, leading the team to a 24-3 record.

PERSONAL: Nickname is “Zo-Man” … named to the 1990 Playboy Preseason All-America team … wears a size 18 shoe … plans to major in business.
