Post-OSU Update: After missing the 2017 season with a knee injury, A.J. Alexander transferred to Division II Slippery Rock and caught 11 passes for 89 yards and three touchdowns in 2018. As a graduate, he transferred again in 2019 to Gardner-Webb where he caught 19 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown in 2019. (updated: Dec. 2023)

2017 Media Guide: A.J. Alexander had an outstanding 2017 spring drills, taking all the No. 1 reps at tight end while Marcus Baugh continued his rehabilitation from shoulder surgery … his play was a big reason the tight end position was recognized by coach Urban Meyer as the most improved unit in the spring … later in the spring, though, Alexander injured his knee, had surgery and will not compete during the 2017 season … a 13-game veteran, he will now focus on rehabilitation.

all-state honoree in 2013 after catching 41 passes for 650 yards and seven touchdowns, plus intercepting five passes on defense … also chosen all-Metro as a junior and helped Lake Braddock to
the Class 6A North Region state semifinals … second-team all-state in basketball as a junior.
