Recap
COLUMBUS, Ohio — For the second straight week, Ohio State elected to travel by land rather than by air, and for the second week in a row the strategy resulted in a Buckeye victory.
Ohio State ran 57 times and passed just 11 against the visiting Boilers. With tailback Carlos Snow rushing for a game-high 149 yards and Scottie Graham (94) and Dante Lee (93) both flirting with the century mark, the Buckeyes rolled up a season-high 371 yards on the ground and averaged 6.3 yards per carry.
The defense, meanwhile, kept the Boilers at bay all afternoon, recording a school record-tying eight tackles for losses and forcing two turnovers.
Senior co-captain Zack Dumas set the tone early when he partially blocked a Purdue punt. Ohio State scored three plays later and never looked back.
