MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin capitalized on four Ohio State turnovers to stay within 14-10 after three quarters, but tailback Robert Smith scored on two runs and Jeff Graham ran back a punt 81 yards for a TD in the fourth quarter to lead the Buckeyes to a 35-10 victory. Smith’s career-high 171 yards made him the 26th freshman in NCAA history and the 15th Buckeye overall to gain 1,000 yards in a season. He also broke Archie Griffin’s OSU record for rushing yards by a freshman.
