MINNEAPOLIS, Min. — Trailing 31-0, the Buckeyes scored on six of their last eight possessions and outscored the Gophers 41-6 in the final 30 minutes and 10 seconds. The winning TD came on a 15-yard pass from Greg Frey to Jeff Graham with 51 seconds left. The five-play drive covered 73 yards and included a clutch 34-yard reception by tight end Jim Palmer that bailed the Buckeyes out of a second-and-23 hole.
Carlos Snow accounted for 278 all-purpose yards and scored three touchdowns for the Buckeyes, who tallied two fourth-down TD’s and successfully converted three two-point conversions.
