East Lansing, MI — The No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes showcased their offensive prowess, defeating the Michigan State Spartans 49-20 at Spartan Stadium. Quarterback C.J. Stroud delivered a stellar performance, throwing for 361 yards and six touchdowns.

Stroud’s primary target, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., was instrumental in the victory, recording seven receptions for 131 yards and three touchdowns. This marked Harrison’s third career game with three receiving touchdowns, setting an Ohio State record.

The Buckeyes’ offense was efficient and explosive, amassing 614 total yards. Running back TreVeyon Henderson contributed significantly on the ground, rushing for 118 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, Ohio State limited Michigan State to 202 total yards. The Buckeyes’ defense applied consistent pressure, resulting in two interceptions. Cornerback Cameron Brown returned one of these interceptions for a 69-yard touchdown in the first quarter, giving Ohio State a 14-0 lead.

Michigan State’s offense struggled to find rhythm against the Buckeyes’ defense. Quarterback Payton Thorne completed 11 of 18 passes for 113 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

The Spartans’ defense faced challenges containing Ohio State’s high-powered offense. Despite their efforts, they were unable to disrupt Stroud’s rhythm, leading to a decisive victory for the Buckeyes.

With this win, Ohio State improved to 6-0, while Michigan State fell to 2-4, marking their fourth consecutive loss.
