COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Buckeyes had their third straight offensive explosion when they scored on eight of 10 possessions and easily handled Northwestern, 48-7. OSU had 462 total yards, including 128 yards rushing and one TD from tailback Robert Smith, 100 yards passing and one TD from quarterback Greg Frey and 88 yards passing and two TDs from backup quarterback Kent Graham. Running back Raymont Harris scored two touchdowns. Northwestern’s 174 total yards were the fewest by a Buckeye opponent since 1984.
